Man's World (A Fable)
When baby boys are born
In this man’s world
Celebrations light up the globe
Believed to be a gift
From the creator
Their baby sisters cherished
Then ignored
Long as anyone remembers
Preachers sight the books
And the scrolls
Fables weren’t meant
To last forever
Now the time has come to right that wrong
When baby boys are born
All the brothers
Let him know
He’s at the controls
Now the sisters railing up
To let the whole word know
Once upon a time ain’t no more
We tried controlling her body
We tried to break her down
Staked our claim, held on so tight
She needs some answers now
Who made you the boss of me
Mr. Might makes right
Who gave you the right
To be the boss of me
Morning noon and night
If you’re lucky
And you’re born to the man tribe
Privileges are laid at your feet
Not so for your sisters
Givin the lie
They been raised to follow your lead
No more superheroes
Sisters know that blind men been leading the blind
It’s a new day, sign of the times
Erase those border lines
Who made you the boss of me
Mr. Might makes right
Truth is you made you
The boss of me
To keep control
Of her body and mind
Every precious baby
Means a star is born
Equal in the eyes of the lord
Eternal rays of light
From the creator
Both deserve the power and the throne
There’ll be no more
Controlling her body
No more playing a role
We lived that fable for too long
It was once upon a time but, no more
Who made you the boss of me
Mr. Might makes right
Was you made you the boss
To keep control
Of her body and mind
She knows
You made you the boss of me
